📣 Fellow public health researchers!! 📣 What are you doing to ensure the psychological well-being of your research staff? Especially those who have daily conversations about illness/death, experience vicarious trauma from interviews, and face barriers to career advancement?

Was honoured to speak with the inspiring Eddy Oketch for this piece. Looking forward to seeing the positive change he creates in Kenya through his election as Senator of Migori County and his work with the Treeco Fund, an initiative to combat poverty and climate change.

Great to see this new report from WHO Europe, which takes a strong stand against industry actions that contribute to the NCD burden. The authors use GBD data to link 2.7M EU deaths to 4 industries (tobacco, alcohol, fossil fuels, ultra-processed foods) and commercial practices.
