The NJ Turnpike expansion in Jersey City is a $10+ billion mistake. It’s unnecessary, bad for our health, and will worsen traffic, not fix it. Here’s why we should oppose it 🧵

The Turnpike Authority says we need to expand to reduce congestion. But study after study shows *more lanes* = *more traffic.*

And here’s the kicker: We don’t even need expansion. The turnpike’s own analysis shows that repair and maintenance of the existing bridge would cost a small fraction and work just fine.
