Full day of meetings with several Ambassadors & High Commissioners to articulate my commitment to collaborate closely with all our international allies in bringing investments to SL which will accelerate growth and open new opportunities for Sri Lankans

I met with representatives of the textile and garments industry of #SriLanka, to express support and reasure an environment to continue work despite Covid restrictions, so that the industry could swiftly respond to global market demands.

Had a fruitful discussion w/ the ITBPM, and the Gem & Jewellery Export Industries reps. to provide effective solutions to their concerns. Key decisions such as tax exemptions and ease of regulations to encourage local companies to setup internationally were also discussed.

Had a meeting with UN Resident Coordinator today, where we discussed a comprehensive work plan between UN agencies and Sri Lanka to ensure food security, SME development, poverty alleviation, agriculture development. Looking forward to working together to bring this plan to life!
