I was asked about my expectations for the Indiana Fever this season. I think they are championship contenders, along with the Las Vegas Aces , Minnesota Lynx and New York Liberty .

In 2020 Courtney Vandersloot averaged 10 assists per game for the Chicago Sky. As long as Caitlin Clark stays healthy this season, I think she will become the second player in WNBA history to average double digit assists per game.

The New York Liberty & Minnesota Lynx are playing the best basketball in the WNBA right now. Interesting to note that the Lynx strength of schedule played is 12th and Liberty’s is 13th. The two teams aren’t scheduled to meet until July 30th (Commish Cup champ game is July 1st).

Aliyah Boston’s efficiency has been off the charts in the last 4 games. Shooting 78% in that stretch (all w/o Caitlin Clark). She averages 12.8 FGA with CC and only 6.8 FGA w/o her, in similar minutes (31mg v 28mg). Could be poised for a monster scoring outburst when CC returns.
