What a great day with our middle school librarians, ELA, ENL and reading teachers discussing lifelong reading practices.

We borrowed @LorraineRadice1 ‘s strategy of using only 10 words to describe our independent novels 😍 Ss then swapped cards and asked each other probing questions about the books they’re reading! They loved hearing about new potential reads! 📚

What a great way to end the month of November. Students made dream catchers with Mrs. Ruoff while learning more about our history of Long Island.

Our 6th grade students had the pleasure of meeting John Theissen and hearing more about his foundation. We are happy to continue our tradition of participating in the annual John Theissen holiday toy drive! We will be collecting new and unwrapped toys through December 17th.
