Just listened to my Talk Radio Europe piece on YouTube. Terrible sound quality (blame my phone line) but I quite like hearing myself. Hope the link works. The TRE Bookshow: TRE’s Hannah Murray catches up with top authors, to discuss their latest release... - YouTube

Is it just me or has total silence fallen over the timetable for the 2025 PLR payment to authors? I've trawled google, tweeted the PLR people directly, & can't find a word about it. It's a significant proportion of many authors' incomes - we need to know where we stand. #PLR_UK

Where is the scrutiny over the assisted suicide bill? | The Spectator Some hope that the bill will be rejected? The process is obviously deeply flawed. So many aspects of our lives connect here. The impossible cost of care homes is a big factor, for example.

My current project is working on my mother's writings. Just found this: The 28th Feb is Saint Romanus's Day, and if it is a fine day, it will be a good year. The saying is “Romanus bright and clear indicates a goodly year.” And we are predicted to have a nice day this 28th. Nice!

The great and the good won't acknowledge it, but there is a new divide in British politics, far more profound than Brexit. It cuts the parties more or less down the middle. It splits experts, colleagues and families. It separates individual MPs based on their core understanding

New Rebecca Tope title - 'The Dacre Dilemma' is published today. Simmy and her small son find a distressing body in a churchyard...of course they do. There's also a new box set of the first Cotswolds titles, from Joffe Books, available for a very small sum. Go for it!
