"I looked around, and everything began to fall down." One year ago, Adile and her son were displaced by the earthquakes in Turkey. Now they are receiving cash support from DEC charity Red Cross Wales helping them to buy the essentials, as they rebuild their lives.

Today marks World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day. The Red Cross Wales were one of the DEC's five original member charities. In 2024, they continue to run DEC funded projects in Ukraine, Turkey and Syria, supporting people affected by conflict and natural disasters.
