We're excited to begin a new year as we continue to be transformed together. We want to invite everyone involved with Redeemer East Side to take a posture of peace and purpose this January. Join us to emerge from the tumult of 2020 transformed for the good.

What are the Practices of PEACE, and why are they important? As we learn and grow in these practices this Winter and Spring, we hope you'll experience purposeful transformation not only for yourselves, but learn how it can impact those around you as well. eastside.redeemer.com/peace

What difference does a little kindness make in the midst of a global pandemic, political turmoil, and racial violence? Consider with us the radical nature of kindness and neighborly love as we look at Mister Rogers in this beautiful documentary. eastside.redeemer.com/movies

We're continuing to monitor COVID-19 cases and consult health officials to see when we might begin to add in-person worship. We’ve made the decision to hold off on in-person services until at least February. Please pray with us as we navigate these decisions.

After taking a brief hiatus during the holiday, our community groups start meeting again this week. It’s a great time to take the step to grow in Christ with others. Email [email protected] so we can match you with a great group.

One of the absolute best things we've done as a church staff is having one team member take 20 mins each week to share three life events that have profoundly shaped them. Gospel saturated. Cross-cultural love. Permission to be imperfect.

Our hearts are broken over the news of little Ayden Wolfe. There is no making sense of it. So we mourn. We lament. We cry to God: why?

1/ After many months of prayer & discernment, I announced on Sunday that I'm stepping down as pastor of Redeemer East Side this summer to 1) dedicate this next season to training pastors & ministry leaders in NYC and 2) be more directly involved in ministering in underserved communities

2/ This was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make because I love this church dearly and have been honored to lead and serve it. I couldn't be more grateful for my 14 yrs at Redeemer Pres NYC (inactive). I don't know exactly what's next for me but feel called to stay in NYC ...
