One of the absolute best things we've done as a church staff is having one team member take 20 mins each week to share three life events that have profoundly shaped them. Gospel saturated. Cross-cultural love. Permission to be imperfect.

Our hearts are broken over the news of little Ayden Wolfe. There is no making sense of it. So we mourn. We lament. We cry to God: why?

1/ After many months of prayer & discernment, I announced on Sunday that I'm stepping down as pastor of Redeemer East Side this summer to 1) dedicate this next season to training pastors & ministry leaders in NYC and 2) be more directly involved in ministering in underserved communities

2/ This was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make because I love this church dearly and have been honored to lead and serve it. I couldn't be more grateful for my 14 yrs at Redeemer Pres NYC (inactive). I don't know exactly what's next for me but feel called to stay in NYC ...

3/ ... to work with pastoral leaders ministering in diverse contexts. Pray for us during this time of transition, for my family & me yes, but also for our wonderful church. 🙏🙏🙏 To read more: eastside.redeemer.com/resignation
