At least 32 civilians killed, 100+ injured in today’s tragic Russian attack on Sumy🇺🇦 UNHCR’s partner NGO Proliska is on site, providing psychological 1st aid, emergency shelter materials, blankets & hygiene kits to affected families. This is unacceptable. This must stop.



In Iraq, Syrian refugees like Sirwan need to renew their refugee credentials every two years. This documentation is essential for accessing services and safeguarding their rights. With support from the EU, UNHCR Iraq can support them.




Thanks David Lammy for hosting the London Conference on Sudan — with a welcome focus on a political solution to the war; and substantive humanitarian pledges, which we hope will bring much needed resources to relief efforts inside Sudan and in refugee hosting countries.


After 8 years of displacement, Shahrzad and her family are finally heading home. Today, UNHCR Syria organized the first convoy supporting the voluntary return of 84 displaced people from Areesha camp to Deir-ez-Zor. UNHCR provided transportation to help families return home.



🚨 Nearly 13 million Sudanese have been forced to flee. Neighbouring countries are welcoming them, but resources are running out. From Chad, our Filippo Grandi & Commissioner Hadja Lahbib call for urgent support as Sudan’s war enters its third year.




This week, EU Humanitarian Aid | European Neighbourhood 🇪🇺 joined UNHCR in Odesa & Mykolaiv — some of the hardest-hit areas in southern 🇺🇦 Thanks to support from the EU 🇪🇺 EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid 🇪🇺, UNHCR + partners are able to provide protection & social services and respond immediately w/ emergency aid after Russian attacks.
