Oh no war in the Middle East Better sell my decentralized internet money with no ties to the conflict And then buy the sovereign currency of one of the countries actually at war

tim-clancy.eth solady Exit windows are not nontrivial to implement, so one must beg the question, what's the hold up? Everyone definitely has their priorities straight...

tim-clancy.eth solady I'll go further and say ideally no proper smart contracts and projects claiming to be ETH applications should have centralized trust assumptions. Though obviously reality will always be different, but that's what everyone should strive for, and never accept steps backwards

Ethereum isn't a magic decentralizinatooor. A centralized application deployed on Ethereum is still centralized. I can deploy a coin that I can infinitely mint and freeze at my own will, that's not decentralized or trustless, that's just USDC. Stop conflating the two.

Ithaca moves fast! I was trying to implement Porto into a small app ~ a month ago and the docs were under construction and incomplete, check back a little later and the docs are all complete, and now they have a universal extension. Going to play around with it soon!

I don't think there is a uniform "crypto culture" anymore, unlike before. In the nascent stage, the culture was simply definable as being dominantly cypherpunk and disruptive. Today, those beliefs have recessed into being confined to niche groups. What was once the majority's

People who prefer “pragmatic” privacy over maximal privacy, or argue that decentralisation doesn’t matter in Web3…they don’t need blockchain. People who are creating abundance and increasing the total value in the world need blockchain for products and services that can't exist

Low liquidity coins on automated market makers with exponential price curves are shitcoins. You can call them Creator Coins, Culture Tokens, Internet Capital Markets, Music Tokens, AI Tokens, or Memecoins, but it won't change the toxic fundamentals. It's a zero sum PvP game of

"Do as I say, not as I do" Zora is the same BS as everything else, but I'm not making money off it, so it's scum. Says a lot about the Solana community...

I love the notion of gpt-oss because it solidifies the removal of the "open" segment of OpenAI. Be grateful that we ("Open"AI) went out of our way to create an open model 😁. Also, it took how long to release another OSS model? Since GPT2 that's about 6 years.

We have the tech for creating this as an L2/L3 on ETH due to ZK advancements, yet we are still to this day attempting to launch more alt L1s. And for what reason? It introduces significantly more centralization, decreases security, and has no reason to exist apart from greed.

It is categorically false and potentially malicious to imply that Hyperliquid represents the paragon of crypto. They are no different from Binance or FTX apart from the fact they don't directly deal with fiat and thus don't require KYC. An entirely centralized "alt-L1" where
