Excited and grateful to see this published. BTW: Major publishers see even larger improvements than indies. Why? Perhaps because they invest more in data analytics talent. At least, they posted significantly more ads for data analytics positions after 2008.

Another neat result: Library visits have declined for a decade, potentially undermining their roles in community building. We find that print holdings stimulate visits, while ebook holdings depress them. Growth in ebook holdings accounts for ~1/3 of the decline in visits.
