Labour are slow car-crashing the economy vs Truss who went at breakneck speed. It’s showing in every poll. They must be cripplingly embarrassed. Limping badly into 2H and all the metrics indicate it’s going to get much worse.

Bridget led a witch hunt against private schools when it came to SEND children accessing extra time in exams. Turns out Ofqual was wrong & the investigation instigated by her has lead to a correction of the record. Will Bridget Phillipson apologise? schoolsweek.co.uk/ofqual-probe-f…

I can only hope that Faisal Islam also corrects the record following this interview with Bridget Phillipson. “As a result of these significant errors, independent schools have wrongly seen their results undermined and their integrity questioned.” Independent Schools Council

SEND: DfE “modelling a range of children’s needs and deciding where these should be met in a new system.” Because obviously all children with the same diagnosis have the same needs… 🙄 tes.com/magazine/news/…

Bridget Phillipson You told us there was a state school place for every child and we’d be welcomed! Well Warwickshire County Council has offered my child nothing - no space! And Kenilworth school have been far from welcoming! In fact Warwickshire la stated that the school can’t manage those it has

The brass neck of Bridget Phillipson to announce “children being failed” when it comes to children with SEND. Yet she signed off on taxing children with SEND in private schools for a paltry £450m. A tax unaffordable to many and pushing SEND children back where they were failed.

Victoria Billy LeCrk Isabel Paterson Charles Thyme 100% this. Billy Brexit was a politically ideology that was economically stupid and hurt us all in the pocket Taxing education is a political ideology that is economically stupid and will hurt us all in the pocket. It is a loss making tax due to moves to SS

That this government introduced a 20% tax on support given to children with SEN and disabilities, simply because their parents send them to a private school (in many cases because they were failed by the state system), is abhorrent. We are a country with a disability tax.

Just as I said, 2H metrics are looking really bad. I am getting really worried now, the situation they have created is really dire.

I’m not against asylum seekers. Anyone genuinely fleeing in fear for life needs refuge. But the below is v.worrying. The right to protest is fundamental. Recent examples of political post censorship & hiding an alleged rape story, seems we’re heading towards a totalitarian state

dave lawrence 🐟🐟🐠 His son, Stephen Kinnock sent Lord Kinnock's grandchild to the most exclusive private school in Wales (school fees c.£30,000), then lied about it when challenged. These people are the worst hypocrites.

Education is of major strategic importance to a country. Why are The Labour Party driving good schools to close affecting thousands of children and their potential and making the country poorer in its educational outcomes.

Steve Lawrence (@stevelawrence_) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The present tense is inappropriate. If the impact was small Reeves would be announcing its revenue from the policy & Phillipson would be parading 6,500 new teachers. The impact on each school forced to close is very great, that’s more than 50 already & the impact has hardly
