Natalie Mihalek for co-chairing the House Diabetes Caucus and for your leadership in ensuring people with diabetes have access to the care they need.

Great to be in Pittsburgh this morning celebrating PA Black Maternal Health Caucus week. Pennsylvania House Majority Policy Committee is hosting a hearing on midwifery modernization and maternal health deserts. PA lawmakers need to reduce maternal health disparities and empower all medical professionals to support pregnant women.

Had a wonderful weekend at True Abundant Life Community Outreach Annual Community Fellowship luncheon with an inspiring keynote speech by Garry Gilliam Jr.! It was also a pleasure to attend the PantherRam awards dinner and auction!

This week I attended two events for Holocaust Remembrance. At Kesher Israel, I read the names of those who perished and attended Governor Josh Shapiro Civic Commemoration of the Holocaust. The events are a bleak reminder of authoritarianism and hate run amok and we shall never forget.

Honored to present a citation to Rev. Dr. Franklin E. Hairston Allen of 1st Zion Baptist Church of Edgemont for 50 yrs of ministry. Dr. Allen is also President of the NAACP Greater Harrisburg Branch! Thank you for your decades of service to your congregation and our community!

Yesterday, I toured the Harrisburg State Hospital grounds! Nineteen years after its closing, big plans are underway to redevelop the campus. A land development plan for a joint laboratory complex is in the works. I will continue to provide updates on development as it continues.
