Quite a day! Morning press conference for #HB749 the tobacco 21 bill, school finance layout w/ Dan Huberty & my #txlege colleagues, and a meeting with Greg Abbott to talk pub ed funding and hurricane Harvey recovery and mitigation efforts.

Excited to be back w/ the #txlege Higher Ed Cmte this morning to lay out HB826 w/Garnet Coleman which would create a med school University of Houston. Texas ranks 47 out of 50 in primary care physician to population ratio. This med school would focus on underserved urban and rural communities.

The #txlege 86th session was full of wins for TX and SB2 is at the top of the list. Property tax reform was what the hardworking taxpayers in District 28 sent me to accomplish and I’m proud to have been a part of it w/ Dennis Bonnen Dustin Burrows and my House/Senate colleagues.
