81 years ago today the Allied armies stormed the beaches of Normandy, beginning the liberation of Europe from tyranny. May we never forget the bravery our servicemen showed that day, nor take for granted the freedom they fought for.

Yesterday, the Criminal Justice Committee voted to pass my bill to provide our law enforcement and first responders with active hearing protection. Our police and firefighters face down danger to keep us safe. I'm proud to return the favor by protecting them from hearing loss!

Students, teachers, and local business owners have all reached out to me to praise the Youth Apprenticeship program. On Tuesday, the Joint Finance Committee voted to increase funding for Youth Apprenticeships by $6 million, setting our future workforce up for success!

As both the anniversary of the adoption of the Stars and Stripes and the US Army's 250th birthday, today is a special day. I hope you will join me in celebrating both the symbol of the greatest nation on Earth, and the brave men and women who fight to keep it that way!

I know for certain that I would not be where I am today without the influence of my father. I keep a photo of us framed in my office in Madison to remind me of the lessons he taught me about everything from parenting to public service. Happy Father's Day!

Last week, the Joint Finance Committee passed the Republican tax plan! These targeted tax cuts will bring more than $1.3 billion in relief for middle class families and retirees on a fixed income. I look forward to seeing these tax cuts included in the budget!

In March, 15 year old Bradyn Bohn took his own life after falling victim to sexual extortion. Today the Assembly passed a bill named in Bradyn's honor to establish sexual extortion as a new crime, and impose some of the strictest penalties available in our laws.

Before the Assembly voted to pass Bradyn's Law, I had the opportunity to speak in favor on the Assembly Floor.

The latest edition of the Jacobson Journal is out! This week we discuss Bradyn's Law, which passed unanimously in the Assembly on Wednesday. We also discuss the Republican tax cut proposal the Joint Finance Committee approved for inclusion in the 2025-2027 State Budget.

If there's one place you should feel safe, its in your own home. I'm proud to report that by bill to make it a felony to enter someone's home in order to commit battery passed in the Assembly yesterday with overwhelming support!

Before our floor session on Tuesday, my colleagues and I recognized former Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon for his promotion of Wisconsin and charity work. Although AJ no longer plays for the Packers, philanthropy and advocacy in Wisconsin continues.

Today, my colleagues and I will debate and vote on the 2025-27 State Budget. I look forward to tonight's discussion, and ultimately delivering substantial wins for the 87th Assembly District and for all Wisconsin!

As the Assembly worked through the night, I am proud to have had the opportunity to dispel liberal lies and defend our budget on the floor, which will deliver substantial tax cuts to all working Wisconsinites!

Last week I succeeded in getting my first bill signed into law! This new law provides local law enforcement and fire departments with high tech active hearing protection devices. I'm proud to deliver this victory to help protect our public safety professionals from hearing loss!

Modern police vehicles are often equipped with extra lights to improve visibility. However, state law has not been updated to allow many of these lights. Today in the Transportation Committee, I testified on a bill I authored to modernize our laws into the 21st century.

Our farms and processors play a key role in moving Wisconsin forward, and are a prominent part of our heritage in the 87th Assembly District. Our State Budget invests $1.8 million to help dairy and meat processors continue making world-famous products!

As part of our investments in agriculture, the 2025-2027 State Budget provides $12 million to help staff county conservation departments. This funding ensures that our farms continue reliably producing healthy and nutritious products well into the future!
