Democracy needs women! No democracy can be stable without the full participation of women, I told today at the Reykjavík Global Forum – Women Leaders Forum organized by Women Political Leaders. Brave Belarusian women remain on the front line of every attempt to rid our country of its illegitimate regime.

I am very honored to receive the Women Political Leaders Trailblazer Award. I accept it on behalf of all Belarusian women who refuse to give up even when they’re under threat, in prison or in exile. I am proud to be one of them. And I’m sure - our greatest reward is yet to come.
