Those plates were results of weeks/months of work...but decided to trash them all despite being given the chance to have some access to the lab - people's lives matter the most, No?!

Earlier in the year (back when life seemed relatively normal), I had the pleasure of interviewing Matthias Lutolf Matthias Lutolf, who recently joined Development as one of our Associate Editors. You can read the interview here: dev.biologists.org/content/147/9/…

Happy for being involved in this collaboration. Great work by Johannes Bues and Marjan Biočanin et al at @BartDeplancke lab. Check out DisCo to know how to catch every single oranoid!

Hope this would be useful for the biomaterials and organoid community. DM me for any questions regarding the methods/protocol.

This is what happened two weeks ago!😊Even though this milestone feels big to me due to the work that has led there, I am confident that the true significance is the change that comes after, and I am excited and looking forward to the next step of this adventure! #PhDdefense

Happy to share our recent review in which we discuss the importance of the ECM in intestinal, hepatic, and pancreatic organoid culture and how biomaterial-based approaches can be used to probe different ECM properties required for more translationally relevant organoid models.
