I bought this cover for my kitchen table last week. When I said to the lady in the shop, ‘It reminds me of Elmer the Elephant’, I think she was very puzzled!

My children grew up with Elmer. Reminds me of Integrity, Equity, Uniqueness of the Individual, Unity and Division......Froebelian principles, treat everyone as individuals but they are not all the same.....

@FrancesT0123 Yes me!! Won't use it. Dictionary meaning is "the award or acceptance of an academic degree or diploma". We celebrate the year with all our children, everyone gets a photo as a memento, and fun and memories shared with our families. Edin Froebel Network

I completely agree Alison Hawkins . We need to shift away from modernist regulatory concepts such as graduation. Is there a need for some to reflect on reconceptualising transitions? #earlychildhoods

'Froebel changed the way we think about childhood' (Realising the Ambition, 2020:102) - so has Floella Benjamin in the Froebel Trust Autumn Lecture and her insights into her childhood and being a child. Thank you Floella.

Catriona Gill Kate Johnston Edin Froebel Network Floella Benjamin Floella was indeed - but so were you, linking our principles to her very important message. To finish a week with this calibres, quality and enjoyment is a real bonus. Well done - and thank you. X

The book group with Tina Bruce was inspiring. Reflecting on 'causing thought' as part of our reconnections & conversations w/ ch & the notion of cultural relativism-an acceptance of difference. Navigational tools. Edin Froebel Network Alison Hawkins @SgreenDonna Sharon Imray

Inspiring webinar. Thank you Stella - Understanding observations. What learning has taken place? Everything children do, they do for a purpose - think yoghurt and hairdressers. Observe, support, extend! Froebel Trust

I feel extremely emotional, having just observed a film illustrating the excellent ELC practice in Falkirk!!!! Bravo to all the passionate ‘slow pedagogy’ practitioners. Alison Clark said ‘It was a brilliant project to be part of’. Congratulations on outstanding leadership.

Insightful conference with Lynn McNair and Prof Alison Clark Slow Pedagogy Key messages: lovingly lingering, attunement to linger, gentle fostering, dive deep with children, stand still and open your eyes. Slow pedagogies enable practitioners to breathe. The urgency of slow.
