"Grazed grass grows grass" - a theme at @alnhamfarming who are rotationally grazing 180 ewes pre-lambing. This will stimulate grass growth whilst also reducing hard feed costs. Before giving it a go make sure average farm cover is at least 1700kgDM 👍

Cows and calving finishing the bale grazing this weekend. Hay for a few days having finished the silage - and wastage has risen. Which I didn’t expect. Maybe DM allocation is too high now. Not worried but v interesting. Lessons form our first go at bale grazing;
