Today I visited Jack and Jill Nursery & Primary School during their prefect elections, and I was truly impressed! From polling station to secret ballots, it mirrored a national election. This is how we shape future citizens by teaching the value of participation early.

This school is super organised. I was also so impressed after looking at the way they were conducting it.

Uganda’s health sector has lost a giant. Dr. John Spire Kiggundu, a distinguished figure in obstetrics and fertility care, has passed on. His work transformed lives and gave hope to many families. We mourn a true hero in maternal and reproductive health. Rest in peace, Doctor.

This is a great reminder of why learning our local languages matters! Let’s not be shy to speak them. It’s how we connect with our people, understand each other better, and keep our culture strong. Big up to Claire 👏
