A wonderful drama session today with ShineDrama. We explored the Welsh myth ‘Y ddaig goch’. A myth which tells of the proud and ancient battle of the red dragon and the white dragon. We learnt about how then the red dragon came to be on the flag of Wales #expressivearts #llc🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Yr4,5 & Yr5,6 shared their work on the Rugby World Cup as part of our ‘Competition’ concept. They were ambitious capable learners and enterprising creative contributors!! Oral feedback was given respectfully, as we all want to make progression ⭐️

We shared WW2 experiences of our families. Soldiers who served in the Arctic, Burma, Japan, the Home Guard, some worked on farms or in munitions factories and stories of children sheltering under the kitchen table, under the stairs or shelters. THANK YOU from Yr4,5 💙

What a lovely last week at school. Santa visited yesterday & then we exchanged secret Santa gifts in Yr4, 5🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻

Year 4, 5 opened the ‘Curiosity case’ today to inspire our new topic relating to culture. Our big question is ‘How great was the Great British Empire?’ We are very excited about our learning this term!

Year 1/2 went on a shape hunt this afternoon. We have been refreshing our shape knowledge at the start of the new term and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the shapes we have learnt about around the school! 🔺🟪🟢🔶

We learnt about the story of #SantesDwynwen and how she became the patron saint of love in Wales #DyddSantesDwynwen is part of our Welsh Culture and made cards to give to a loved one. We followed a video of instructions in Welsh and created our #Dwdl to say caru ti/I love you.5/6
