But then, on that same 20 minute walk, I faced this. A van undertaking property work, entirely blocking the footway. This was the first of two occasions where I had to step out into the road to continue my journey (neither were due to a Lime bike).

Today marks four years since the consultation on a #PavementParking ban in England - and we're still waiting for action. Disabled campaigner Katie Pennick says: "In this photo you can see what happens when parking places are put on the pavement. My wheelchair does not fit!"

A car just reversed onto the pavement and very nearly hit me; I had to push my wheelchair really fast to escape out the way. The driver then yelled out the window, “it’s dangerous to walk in front of a moving vehicle you fucking retard!” I was on *the pavement*.
