The mockup itself likely doesn't include a good portion of its aft flight deck, so it will look more similar to the this depicted pic 3rd down (Ford for comparison). For a modern 100k ton CVN, Ford's layout is about as good as you can get for island (and elevator) placement.

It would be helpful if this assists in setting the mainstream opinion on the role of J-36 and the SAC jet in a faster way, than the slow painful process we had to endure for J-20. flightglobal.com/fixed-wing/chi…

Among the various footage and images of J-36s second observed flight, is this side angle. Not sure if legit, but it's a decent capture of its side profile if real.

The easiest way to measure this (screenshot), is to await F-47 EMD prototypes and compare with the Boeing 2019 NGAD demo -- then compare the difference with CAC's J-36 and SAC's jet to see if the airframes currently flying are EMD stage prototypes or not.

Geolocates, unsurprisingly to the CAC factory/airfield where all of their new aircraft are built and prototypes conduct initial flight testing from. Yellow: J-36 on final approach Red: car from which video was taken from

CAC's J-36 channels the Imperial class Star Destroyer. SAC's jet/J-XDS channels the Venator class Star Destroyer. Both are valid aesthetics.

Assuming it's real (and the only suspicion I have is it looks a bit too picturesque), this pic gives us the best view the dorsal geometry of the engine nozzles/nacelles.

PL-15 confirmation is actually somewhat significant -- PAF J-10CP fleet are now comfortably joined by JF-17C as their most top tier A2A aircraft, ahead of their F-16C and JF-17 B1/2. If they are using non downgraded variants (i.e. not PL-15E) that would be even more significant.

Usually I don't wade into this, but this additional angle of the mystery engine does look like it has a distinctive pattern of screws on nozzles (pic 1), consistent with M88 which powers Rafale (pic 2), rather than M53 which powers Mirage 2000 (pic 3) Hmm

Rotating the original image, and looking at pic of serial BS 001 in better times, from the same side (right/starboard), all the details pretty much line up ("RAFALE" and "BS 001", roundel flag positioning, slime light, panel lines etc) If the pic is real, this would call it.
