The Laffer Curve suggests at a certain tax rate, increasing the rate actually reduce revenue due to behavioral responses. For CGT, this applies because people can choose when to sell assets-making the tax sensitive to timing & expectations-avoid setting rates that shrink the pie.

Positive day for my portfolio. UK markets however opened higher Monday on relief over a US-EU deal, but gains gradually faded as investors weighed the fact it’s only a framework—vulnerable to revision at any time.

Added a few more #UKW in the drop. Looks like the market got wind of today’s results & corrected SP accordingly. Still a well managed fund returning an 11.5% annualised TR & best in peer group. DYOR

I don’t take Renewable IT NAV’s too seriously.👇 💡 Why power price forecasts are just educated guesses: Despite their precision, long-term power price models are built on layers of assumptions—about policy, technology, demand, and market structure—that are highly uncertain.
