Thankful to have worked alongside NY State Senator Kristen Gonzalez yesterday to give away 100 turkeys to our neighbors at Queensbridge Houses. A huge thanks to NYC District Council of Carpenters and MetroPlusHealth for the Turkeys and generous support, and to Riis Settlement for hosting us.

During our recent Fall Family Feast, we served an incredible 1,181 meals in just 4 hrs at our QB & Ravenswood community centers! Thanks to the 160+ volunteers who supported our event from the Riis staff, participants, & board members, as well as the incredible volunteers tagged👇

At UNH's most recent Generations Connect training, staff from 5 settlement houses attended and learned about intergenerational programming through the eyes of program participants from Sunnyside Community Services. Thank you Afnan, Diana and Hotilia!

Our NNORC program hosted a holiday luncheon this weekend at our QB Community Center! Attendees enjoyed food & performances by the QB Pony Tails and the Queensbridge Latinos. Raffle prizes, donated by Crisis Mediation Services, & awards were given to staff & participants!

Riis Academy hosted an intergenerational holiday party this week! The event featured performances from our 5 after-school programs & 2 dance groups from our Older Adult Center: QB Latinos & QB Ponytails. A big thank you to everyone who helped spread holiday cheer!
