Evidently when I don’t wear hats, people will compliment my hair. To spare every one from getting bored of these tweets I’ll be doing weekly recaps and share quotes from really good ones.

The biggest medical lie of my childhood was that it was safer to take ibuprofen after drinking vs acetaminophen bc of liver risks. Baloney. The last thing you should do when you’re dehydrated with an electrolyte imbalance is take NSAIDs.

I came up with a terrible joke to impress my neurology attending: What algorithm do Shepards use to determine if they should eat a sheep with a neuromuscular disorder? Lamb-hurt? —> Eat-em (This is a Lambert-Eaton joke)

I then said “P-E-E-P” instead of “peep” and got laughed out of the room again. Please show me the rule book

Thanks to Obama joking about Biden being VP, and undoubtedly Fox News’ interesting and insightful take on the matter, the simple A&O x4 question on my exams has gotten much more confusing and political than I want it to be.

Big thank you to UA College of Medicine – Tucson for selecting me to be this year’s recipient of the John T. Boyer award! It is a tremendous honor and I promise to continue to work hard to be an advocate for our geriatric patient population!

Very upsetting that eating local honey doesn’t actually help with allergies. One of those myths that you wanna believe is true given the benefit to local businesses and bees alike.

Saw a patient today who had a corrections officer present in the room who ate peanut butter from a jar with a plastic fork for the full 10 minute patient encounter, all while rocking the worst over-gelled bowl cut I’ve ever seen.

After 25 years on this planet I have finally found the silver lining to having stubby sausage fingers and it is that I am instantly the least eligible person in a group to be chosen to do a manual disimpaction. #Blessed

Had a blast at #Physiatry23 yesterday! Wish I was able to stick around for the rest of the conference but it was an honor to be able to spend some time meeting all the great minds in PM&R and getting to talk about the poster Milan Oxspring, MD and I put together!
