I hope no legislator who votes for this sham effort to protect the worst policy decision in NYS in ages ever, ever has the chutzpah to call themselves a climate leader. I know what climate leadership looks like. This is the opposite.

Last night, we had another great Flood Preparedness Town Hall, this time in #Jamaica! With the help of local electeds, we spoke to residents about what the city is doing to fortify our communities and handed out 150 flood kits to keep the neighborhood ahead of the next storm!

This October, we experienced the second-longest rainless streak in recorded history. So today, NYC is issuing a drought watch, effective immediately. I have ordered city agencies to update water conservation plans. And now, we're asking New Yorkers to do their part as well.
