Today, in a historic collaboration with my office, NYC Water, New York State Dept. of Environmental Conservation, Ulster County, & our municipalities, we make history by delivering a new solution to protect our downstream communities from turbid releases. For decades, we've known this moment to be possible; today, it is.

Thanks to the efforts of NYC Mayor's Office, Meera Joshi, & our partners at NYClimate, NYC DDC, & NYC Emergency Management, today we celebrate a milestone & a $1.2 billion investment towards five major projects addressing flood prevention, preparation, & keeping NYers safe!

Today, Joe Sokolowski from DEP's Public Affairs team made a special delivery of joy to Elmhurst Hospital in #Queens. With roughly 1000 gifts donated by DEP staff, the NYC Health + Hospitals pediatrics ward got a healthy dose of holiday cheer -- just what the doctor ordered!🎁
