In our math class we have been practicing dissecting our word problems in order to FULLY understand them! Students did an amazing job dissecting, modeling, and solving these fraction situations and problems! Riverview_ES

Our second grade class Riverview_ES got an amazing enrichment experience seeing a performance of Pete the Cat this morning! We are so grateful for our continuing partnership with The Hippodrome Foundation! Hippodrome Theatre Baltimore County Public Schools #CommunitySchools

Collaboration is key!! Students worked in groups to collaboratively complete a mini anchor chart that will serve as notes! Students compared fractions by using 1/2 on a ratio table. The conversations were amazing!

My students blew me away today! They made the connection between multiplication and division by using the area model to solve division problems. Love seeing those lightbulb moments! 💡 #MathInAction

My 5th graders timed each other crab-walking different distances and used the data to compare ratios. They came up with 3 different ways of comparing two speeds without help 🤩 I’m equally as proud of their crab-walking, which was way better than mine! Riverview_ES
