This 250kg meteorite landed outside Alice Springs 5000yrs ago - indigenous records show ppl were told not to drink the water from the crater it caused as it made people ‘go crazy and die’. It’s 95% iron & 5% nickel so this would have been heavy metal poisoning in the water.
