Sussex's Michael Addie, who knows a little something about match play, is 1 down to Gabriel DeCasas after 5 holes in the finals of WSGA Golf Wisconsin State Match Play at South Hills in Fond du Lac. DeCasas is a former Ave Maria University golfer who moved to Kaukauna last fall

The leaders were through nine holes in Round 1 of the WiscPGAJrFoundation Girls Championship at the Wisconsin CC down Good Hope Road. Payton Haugen of Brookfield, runner-up at the WSGA Golf State Women's Match Play on Wednesday, was at even par and 1 ahead of three golfers.

Play resumed at 4:24 p.m. once all players were back in position. That's a delay of 1 hour, 14 minutes. Wisconsin PGA's Andy Landenberger tells me our delay on Wednesday was 1:13. I'm old enough to remember the annual delays at the WiscPGAJrFoundation Championship at Yahara Hills.

Arrived at the Legend at Bergamont in time to see Nicki Stricker make this birdie on 18 to go 7-under. They lead by three shots after the morning wave of WSGA Golf State Women’s Four-Ball but 7-under will be tough to catch. Wisconsin.Golf
