@robbybevard

I work in comics!

Mostly as a colorist, but also as writer, editor, and everything else.

I've been a pro in the industry since 1999, and worked everywhere.

Incredibles 2 isn't a perfect sequel, but one thing I really like about it is just how blatantly obvious Brad Bird made it that those younger supers are a stand-in for LGBTQ+ zoomers. Like I dunno exactly what Voyd is but there is no cishet explanation for this.

For everyone complaining that the WISH trailer looks unfinished: There's a watercolor effect that youtube hates so its compressing the hell out of everything and blurring it. You can't even tell she has freckles, for instance. If you look at the HD trailer it looks way better.

They've uploaded a HD version of the WISH trailer. No one ever shares these cause usually it's not worth the bandwidth, it never matters this much. The bad one everyone's insulting on has... 5 million views. The HD one has... 2000 views. youtube.com/watch?v=vt39Ga…

This. It's 100% this. I love the big fights and drama moments, but Dragonball at its core is fun and about characters you want to hang out with. It's boring when its edgy and too serious.

The internet tracked down the writers of a song from a 1998 X Files episode that people have apparently been trying to figure out SINCE 1998 and this is the only thing the internet should ever be used for, because it’s glorious.

Part of what is problematic to so many writers about the term "filler episodes" is that for some viewers, stories only count when they're sprinting breathless through the events of the story arc, if things aren't directly moving ahead or blowing up, which ignores the reality --

Let's prove a point. Retweet if you would see Coyote vs. ACME in cinemas if it was given a full, proper release. #SaveCoyoteVsAcme

One thousand years ago, superstition and the sword ruled. It was a time of darkness, it was a world of fear, It was the age of Gargoyles. 30 years ago today Gargoyles premiered on television, arguably the greatest American animated tv series, and I had to do something!

Basically everyone and everything I cared about has migrated over to Bluesky now, so I'm now going to leave this hell site behind. Keeping the account just so my name doesn't get stolen by bots, but if you need to get ahold of me, I'll be over there. So long Twitter!
