If this was the extent of Iran’s retaliatory capability, Israel’s initial strikes were even more successful than previously assumed. A smaller attack than 2024 which has now effectively given Bibi the green light to go after a wider array of targets including oil and regime.

“Iran’s nuclear weapons program will thus remain in some form. But hope of negotiations to control it is now badly damaged. The result is the worst of both worlds: a vengeful Iran even more determined to get nuclear weapons and no hope of negotiating a way out.”

The Minnesota assassin appears to be a hate-filled right winger. So can we stop walking on eggshells about MAGA's legitimization of political violence? Yes, Republicans have also been the target of inexcusable violence, but this isn't a "both sides" issue. 1/ A🧵on the danger.

Trump is itching to go all in against a country twice the size of Iraq. Perhaps this will finally get at least some people past the idea that he ran on any coherent platform other than power and staying out of prison. Or probably not.
