70 years ago my dad left his family to come to Canada to make life better for us. He arrived in Pier 21, took the train to Montreal and began to make a home in a little village of Ste. Therese. Today I sat in one of the benches he probably sat on upon his arrival.

Visiting my birth home in Villa Franca do Compo in Portugal. My mom’s oven where she baked bread for our home and two stores my parents ran. Oven was outside on second floor balcony.🇵🇹😊

Our lunch cooked in the Fournas. These are holes in the ground where our food was buried this morning and the hot water from the underground volcano cooked our food. Gotta love the Azores 🥰🇵🇹😊
