Looking at the figures and taking reasonable estimates, it looks like DEFRA's budget for farming is being cut by about 20% in real terms over the next 3 years. I guess food security isn't high on the pecking order.

Stuart Oh lovely just seen the govt has said it'll have no impact on food security because we can just buy it from abroad instead when farms go bust.

It would seem The Labour Party have decided to ignore all evidence & press ahead unchanged with their destructive farm death tax. Justifying its impact by noting we are a rich country & can import our food. Then, there’s the human impact to come.

Totally unsustainable. The problem is the reduced rural area becomes the baseline for the next generation & so it continues. We are becoming ever more reliant on other countries to provide our food & environment. It's a morally bankrupt stance.
