If you press a button and a computer program generates art, you are not an artist. If a computer program generates a book, you are not an author. If you want to art, then learn to art. Put in the time and effort and sweat and tears. It is a skill that is not given, but earned.

While I will read any perspective, I'm a sucker for a really compelling 1st person. So throw me your favourite 1st person fantasy recommendations!

Just finished reading The Book that Wouldn't Burn by Mark Lawrence. I wasn't sold on the first half, but the last hundred pages paid off! Now I get to choose a new book! What are the rest of you reading?

I just popped onto Goodreads for a quote and... holy crap, I did not realise so many of my peers had read Never Die. Honestly blown away. So I decided it needed a graphic.

I've decided to do a re-read. Aurian by Maggie Furey is the book that made me want to give the whole writing thing a go. The paperback is battered and yellowing and I'm hoping it doesn't fall apart as I read it.
