Countless Americans are endangered now on a scale and intensity almost unheard of in modern America. Our first responsibility is to protect these people and resist these forces.

This sounds frivolous in the grand scheme of things but we need to support archivists, protect public libraries, protect journalists, writers, artists, photographers, and filmmakers. We need to continue to keep culture alive and educate our youth.

I am so grateful this was sent to me this morning. #bydhttmwfi

An opportunity to lean into art music and beauty as those of us who weren’t surprised the nation showed itself nevertheless need the moment to feel sad.
