What a beautiful day watching NKC Tennis with @NKCHS_AD These girls are the perfect combo of tough athletes and absolute sweethearts! Their coaches are fantastic people, too! This crew represented NKC Schools well with a 4th place finish.

2 of my favorite things about this visit: 1. When Mayor Q spoke of Walt Disney living in KC nearly 100 years ago, a hand shot up with the question, “Was that the 1980s?”😂 2. Mayor Q was so good with our students, I asked if we could call him to sub NKC Schools He didn’t say no😉

Great tournament win Tonka News I love watching players intently focus on their coaches to come together as a team. This cohesion led to the win tonight NKC Schools

So this surpassed all expectations! I was prepared for a somewhat tame evening even though Mr. Freise tried to prepare me. He, Mark Wood and the 130 string players Staley High School put on the best (rock) concert in town NKC Schools Wow!!!!

Blizzard conditions and extremely low temps are making travel hazardous across the KC Metro area. All NKC Schools buildings and offices, including Adventure Club, will be closed on Monday, January 6. Stay cozy, stay safe, and enjoy an extra day of winter break!

While main roads have been cleared, side streets in many of our neighborhoods are not yet ready for buses. Many thanks to all those clearing the way! Students, we’ll see you virtually again tomorrow, Jan. 8, for AMI.💻❄️ Stay safe! Isn’t the Communications crew NKC Schools funny?

This morning’s drive shows me hit and miss conditions with many spots still too slick to be safe for students NKC Schools We’ll keep learning from home today, Jan. 10. We miss you all and can’t wait to see you back in person on Monday! Taylor loves #87 and you+AMI!🫶🏹🫵💻

This crew inspired all at our Board meeting while addressing what makes a person feel included, welcomed, part of the group, like they belong. They challenged us to see beyond the 10% of what we think we know about others Chouteau Elementary School Eastgate6thGradeCenter Northtown News NKC Schools

After driving the wet roads and experiencing several icy, slick spots all throughout NKC Schools we will use our last AMI day, today, February 5. If you get out, move carefully. Driveways, bridges, parking lots, and some untreated side roads are skating rinks.

Breaking news from our student meteorologists: a snowstorm is headed our way! NKC Schools will have a traditional snow day tomorrow due to impending weather. Thank you to Susan Hiland McKenna Armstrong & Rachel B. for the award-worthy production! 😉❄️

Side roads are not ready for buses, bus riders, teen drivers, nor walkers. Our NKC crews did a great job clearing lots - even letting me help😉 To keep our 22,000 students safe, we will shift to virtual learning Feb 13, 2025. I hope you can feel your hands finally Susan Hiland 🥶

I was holding out hope to see you again NKC Schools We’ve continually monitored the forecast and the models held strong. The snow accumulation predicted throughout the day could create challenges in keeping everyone safe. Feb 18, 2025 is a snow day. I’m so tired of saying that!🙄

Due to multiple power outages across the district, slick, slushy and refreezing road conditions, complicated by downed trees, limbs, and snow drifts, NKC Schools will have yet another snow day. I was so hoping things would be different this morning.😔 Stay safe, everyone.

What an amazing season Oak Park Men's Basketball Sherron Collins Here are your Class 6 State Champions with a 31 - 1 record! I am so proud of the hard work, discipline, perseverance and sacrifice you all showed. This will be something that changes you forever! #FortheFamily 🩵💙

I’m sorry it didn’t end the way you had hoped, girls. We are so very proud of your showing! Second place in the Class 6 State Championship is impressive, much like your entire season Staley High School
