Today, the crew of NASA's SpaceX Crew-1 mission departed Ellington Field in Houston, pictured here, and safely arrived at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Next stop: the International Space Station! As NASA astronaut Victor Glover said upon landing, “Go Falcon, go Dragon, and go Resilience!”
Resilience rises. 🚀 The Crew-1 mission has lifted off on a Falcon 9 rocket from NASA's Kennedy Space Center at 7:27pm ET and is en route to the International Space Station. #LaunchAmerica
Meet the #WomenInScience of NASA Goddard's Mid-Atlantic Noble Gas Research Lab (MNGRL), affectionately called Moon Girl. Their research on Moon rocks helps create a timeline of our solar system. bit.ly/3d3qpdt
Ok ARCHIVED - NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover fans, you might be asking yourself what is Mars time and why do you have to work a night shift to drive a rover on Mars? A thread 1/
We did our first night test in the rock yard with a rough simulation of polar Lunar lighting. We're starting to evaluate what lighting we need to perform NASA Artemis EVA operations like geology sampling.
3.. 2.. 1.. and liftoff! Endeavour launches once again. Four astronauts from three countries on Crew-2, now making their way to the one and only International Space Station:
We are ready. 🚀 In just five days, the first launch opportunity of the integrated ARCHIVED: NASA_SLS rocket and Orion Spacecraft spacecraft will take place. The uncrewed #Artemis I mission around the Moon will pave the way for future crewed missions and begin a new chapter of exploration.
The #Artemis dream team just added two new members! Congratulations to NASA Goddard's Dr. Noah Petro and Dr. Barbara Cohen for being appointed to coordinate lunar science for the first and second crewed lunar landing missions in more than 50 years. nasa.gov/feature/nasa-a…
So very excited to work with Brett Denevi and the entire EAGLE team in the years to come!
