There was a lot new for Nebraska in 1984. ...gone were Turner Gill, Mike Rozier and Irving Fryar. Nebraska had new jerseys. The 'N' was gone in favor of simple sleeve stripes. And in this video snippet, Kent Pavelka was broadcasting his first game. #HuskerTapes

Dave Parker was a BEAST. I was watching in 1979 when Gene Garber, his friend, hit him with a pitch and the Cobra ran out to the mound but was stopped by Dale Murphy. Thank goodness. If he got his hands on Geno, it wouldn’t have been pretty. God Bless Cobra!
