Early in June the community came together to make Origami butterflies as part of Voices of Wandsworth. Yesterday we were welcomed to the Family Hub to see them flutter gracefully from the ceiling. The butterflies will fly there over the next few days #WAF2025

Despite it being the hottest day of the year so far, over 130 people came to see us on Saturday. Some came knowing nothing, some came with trepidation & some came with enthusiasm. All left feeling positive about the future and happy to have a free ice cream on us.

The Labour government are getting on with fixing our roads by investing £1.6billion into their repair. Great to see that the potholes on Gwendolen Ave will soon be gone.

To mark Windrush Day on 22 June, the Wandsworth Windrush Elders exhibition opened at Balham Library. If you're in the area, pop in to explore the exhibition and everything Balham Library has to offer. The exhibition will be there until 18 July before moving to Putney Library.

Great to have attended a Shabbat to celebrate the 10th anniversary of ⁦Mosaic Jewish Primary School⁩ school, the only Jewish school in south London, but open to all faiths. They are a valued part of the rich diverse tapestry that makes #Roehampton a great place to live and go to school.

Please use this excellent community facility. It is also a designated cool space during heatwaves (and a warm one during the winter months).

In March many of you took part in 'A Splash of Colour'. The artworks you created have now been installed in the walk way between Danebury Avenue & the leisure centre on Laverstoke Gardens. Don't they look fab ?

‘A Splash of Colour’ was a great event on the Library Green that engaged residents of all ages in self expression art. What a fantastic result!

Sadly one of the trees by the library had to be felled. We asked the contractor to cut us some sections to create a kids story telling garden. This week Jo, Orleen & Saida worked to turn it into a reality. Its not quite finished but we thought it was worth a share. 1/2

Fairy lights were threaded round the trees so the area will sparkle once dusk falls. Please feel free to use it for reading, picnics and family activities. 2/2
