I don’t think America realises this is going to happen again and again and get worse and worse and there’ll be more floods, more droughts, more powerful hurricanes. It’s not politics - Republican or democrat - it’s just physics. #PalisadesWildfire #malibu #LosAngelesFire

If true, what the Labour front bench is doing is unforgivable. The #CANBill is essential & has backing of huge number of experts, scientists, unions & others. If backbench Labour MPs ever consider rebelling against leadership on anything, let it be this theguardian.com/environment/20…

Incredibly disappointed that MPs didn’t get the chance to vote on the Climate and Nature Bill - a crucial piece of legislation to prevent climate breakdown & protect our natural world. But thanks to all those who backed it - I'll keep fighting for urgent climate action #CANBill

Utterly shameful - a sickening betrayal of some of the poorest people. And deeply counterproductive too - as if global security isn’t also dependent on efforts to tackle the climate crisis, global poverty, inequality, and humanitarian needs.

Dutch public television on Trump, Vance, Zelensky and "Have you even said 'thank you'?" Excellent summary of the current geopolitical situation.

#New geological data clarifies post-ice age #SeaLevelRise, revealing a 38-meter increase over 8,000 years. This enhances understanding of current and future sea level changes due to #GlobalWarming. @nature doi.org/g88377 phys.org/news/2025-03-s…

I agree with DEFRA Secretary Steve Reed MP who wanted to “see the #CANBill succeed.” Steve, will you call on Keir Starmer to give the Climate and Nature Bill the time it deserves? We need The Labour Party to back, not block, the CAN Bill. x.com/zerohour_uk/st…

I’m done with the online left (and here’s why). We’re in a fight for democracy, and too many are busy scoring points instead of building power.

CO₂ at Mauna Loa just reached a monthly average of >430 ppm for the first time. That's possibly higher than in over 3.3 million years. The global RATE of increase is off the chart. It's hard to exaggerate how unprecedented this is!

Among volcanos, Etna is an absolutely huge carbon dioxide emitter at ~13 million tonnes / year. That ~5% of global volcanic carbon dioxide in the typical year. But humans are creating far more from fossil fuel burning, ~37,000 million tonnes of carbon dioxide per year.
