Thanks again to all award winners and our sponsors ibidi GmbH, NikonEurope, BINDER ! Great science and a promising future for cell biology :)

12 years ago, Arnold Lab and I started groups in Cancer Cell Biology & Signalling section of King’s. Yesterday, we celebrated Professorships. Congrats, James! Thanks to all the students & staff in our labs that made this possible and all mentors that supported us along the way!

We recently launched our seminar series for the #ChemTrap consortium (Topical Program Universität Münster) with an amazing talk by Yifan Cheng UC San Francisco on the structural studies of TRPV1 channel #cryoEM #resolution_revolution. Stay tuned for more updates!

Using #Ftractin to visualize #actin in living cells? We determined the F-tractin-F-actin structure and showed that the probe is nearly identical to #Lifeact. Check out light microscopy by Athul Sivan R. Wedlich-Soldner @RWedlichSoldner.bsky.social and #cryoEM by Dmitry Shatskiy and me biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

"One email at a time, one informational interview after another, I became comfortable, confident, and strategic in building my network of mentors." One mentor isn’t enough. On #NationalMentoringDay, read this #ScienceWorkingLife essay from 2021 to learn how Erika Moore built

Please join us for the #DGZ Focus Workshop on #MembraneTrafficking & #EVs, next Tuesday, 29.10. at noon, organized by Francesca Bottanelli & Kerstin Menck, featuring talks by Kerstin Menck, Frederik Verweij, Agata Witkowska & Jieqiong Gao (Postdoc @UngermannLab)⬇️

Excited and humbled to share some big news: I am starting a new chapter as an Assistant Professor University of Warwick working in the new Cellular Interfaces Program by Jitu Mayor Lab mechanochemistry Warwick Med School Lab doors open in March 2025. Stay tuned for info, updates and positions.

I'll talk about the mechanisms of selective lipid transport. There will also be two unpublished goodies: Lipid superresolution imaging (collaboration with Alf Honigmann) and Lipid CLEM (collaboration with Ori Avinoam). Looking forward to seeing you all!
