It was an honor to once again be the grand marshal in one of the state’s largest golf cart parades on Memorial Day at White Oaks on the Lake RV Resort! This was a great group of Hoosier families showing their appreciation for the men and women who gave their lives for our nation.

Please join me in congratulating The Outpost Catering and Doug & Karen Cooper for being named Small Business of the Month in Tippecanoe County. I have had the pleasure of knowing Doug and Karen for over 40 years so it’s no surprise that they have received this outstanding award!

There are so many eating establishments that serve great tenderloin sandwiches, including Old Buffalo, TC’s, and Sandwich Shop, but B&N Diner in Lafayette rates as one of the best! Locally owned, they take great pride in serving their wonderful comfort food.

Happy Father's Day to all dads. My two brothers and I were blessed with a great father. My dad was a man of few words, but taught us so much by example. He had a lot of wisdom to share in that way.

Loved being the Grand Marshal for the White Oaks on the Lake RV Resort in Carroll County! This was one of the largest golf cart Fourth of July parades in the state with over 100 participants and carts. Patriotism is alive and well at this resort! God bless America!

It was an honor to say a few words at the Great Stars & Stripes Fourth of July Ceremonies. What I liked most was the wonderful interaction with the nice people of Tippecanoe County, the place where I was proudly born and raised. And, of course, my granddaughter Little Liz.
