Good morning, Boston! 🌞 I won’t be at our weekly Council meeting because I’ll soon be in D.C., watching Mayor Wu as she testifies before Congress & also meeting with Senator Markey, and members of MA congressional delegation to fight against catastrophic NIH funding cuts.

To every one of my neighbors back in Boston, know this: You belong here. This is your home. Boston es tu hogar. Boston se lakay ou. 這是你的家. This is our city. We are the safest major city in the nation because we are safe for everyone. youtu.be/0i21cliuoXo

“It was due to their preparedness that they were able to protect their workers & protect their businesses. East Boston has a strong immigrant community, and protecting these businesses from ICE enforcement action requires that level of preparedness as well as community support.”

Grateful that Boston City Councilors are looking into reforming Boston’s minimum parking requirements. Boston has a housing crisis. Decades of failed zoning policy, including minimum parking requirements, is largely to blame. Major reforms are necessary.

Having the support of David Ortiz means the world to me. Big Papi has always represented the heart of our community & I’m honored by his endorsement. This is our city—together, we’ll keep making Boston a home for everyone.

"When you wear the Boston Bruins uniform, you don’t have to look too far for ways to get involved...you just have to accept the chance to make a difference." Charlie McAvoy reflects on being this year's #NHLBruins King Clancy nominee ⤵️ bit.ly/3ZjPJ6d

Wanting to follow the rules of the Open Meeting Law and hold the highest standard for transparency with the public is my responsibility. The public deserves to have notice and access to the conversations that affect them. That is not silencing. That is good governance.
