Very excited to be speaking at IMMUNOLOGY2024™ this Saturday May 4th about my work from the Igor Brodsky lab on cell death responses to Yersinia infection!

Catch me at IMMUNOLOGY2024 on Sunday at 10am presenting a really cool collaborative project I’ve been lucky to be a part of between Igor Brodsky , Dr. Sunny Shin , and Cornelius Taabazuing labs at Penn on noncanonical inflammasome assembly in response to cytosolic LPS! The American Association of Immunologists (AAI)

Had so much fun presenting our work at The American Association of Immunologists (AAI) #AAI2024 in Chicago- thanks to everyone who came to my talk and stopped by my poster! And thanks to Igor Brodsky for your guidance and encouragement!

So excited to have this story out and so fun to work on this project led by the amazing Ronit Schwartz, PhD! Thanks to our collaborators Cornelius Taabazuing Scott Lab Olaf Gross Beatrice Herrmann Winslow Yost Dr. Christopher Bourne (he/him) and others!

Want to know how caspases work together? Brodsky et al explain how caspase-8 and caspase-1 collaborate during bacterial infections. Significant implications for cell death and inflammation biology. Kudos to all authors. Igor Brodsky Ronit Schwartz, PhD science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

#WeekendRead! #LiveForever! Ronit Schwartz, PhD Igor Brodsky &co show Science Advances that the pathogen Yersinia by blocking immune signaling kinases activates proapoptic caspase-8 that in turn activate caspase-1 to drive death independently of #inflammasome science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Amazing work by the incredibly talented Ronit Schwartz, PhD and Igor Brodsky. Many of these cell death pathways are interconnected and happy we could help with this important mechanistic insight. Check out the excellent tweetorial below 👇🏾

Check out the latest study led by Ronit Schwartz, PhD from the Igor Brodsky lab. The talented Dr. Christopher Bourne (he/him) helped unravel the intricate response to Yersinia, which activates sequentially and spatially distinct death complexes! science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Today was surreal! Thank you to everyone who came in person and virtually, especially my awesome committee Will Bailis Kellie Ann Jurado Dr. Sunny Shin Cornelius Taabazuing and Igor Brodsky for being such an amazing thesis advisor!
