Been working on a 14-inch laptop this entire week on a business trip. This ā€œhamburgerā€ icon (three horizontal lines) to HIDE the left sidebar of Gmail is single-handedly responsible for a 5% boost to my productivity! Only discovered it when I accidentally clicked on it 🤣

Had lunch with a Bay Area-based tech friend. His former employer (a Chinese tech giant) would use internally developed softwares to simultaneously translate (ie subtitle) internal meetings so non-Chinese team members can follow the meeting.

Random observation: • as a Gen Y my preferred way to take notes is typing on a keyboard (Google doc, bullet points, etc) • the previous generation (Gen X) prefer a pen and notebook • the next generation (Gen Z) prefer ā€œwritingā€ on an iPad/Surface/etc.
