Had lunch with a Bay Area-based tech friend. His former employer (a Chinese tech giant) would use internally developed softwares to simultaneously translate (ie subtitle) internal meetings so non-Chinese team members can follow the meeting.

I had to change my phone language to Chinese to check something (for an interpretation project). Now suddenly quotation marks look like actual quotation marks….😆

Just like that, all of my int’l clients are switching from PayPal to Wise overnight. 👀

Record time at Pearson YYZ: Dropped off by Lyft at 19:18. Through to gates at 19:25! (After baggage drop, security and US immigration, which sometimes take 1.5 hours combined)

Random observation: • as a Gen Y my preferred way to take notes is typing on a keyboard (Google doc, bullet points, etc) • the previous generation (Gen X) prefer a pen and notebook • the next generation (Gen Z) prefer “writing” on an iPad/Surface/etc.
