To be clear. There is zero chance of a pint being cheaper in any pub so this The Labour Party message & graphic is really unhelpful. Rises of many £000s per pub in #businessrates, wages and employer's NI (plus related knock on supply chain costs) make this quite clearly impossible.

The Cameron coalition GOV.UK of 2010-2015 was defeated just seven times on whipped votes. #Pub campaigners packed the UK House of Commons gallery to see this one. 💪 Enough MPs had seen the appalling treatment of tied pub tenants to rebel against the tory effort to scupper reform.

The vote should have marked the end of the shameful #GreatBritishPubcoScam, but the tories didn't take defeat lying down. As friends of the pubcos they ensured the Pubs Code was weakened as it passed through Parliament, then appointed an unsuitable Adjudicator to enforce it.
