We had our first visit to Ross Elementary School as a part of the Embassy Adoption Program, which connects embassies and public schools to foster students' international perspectives. We partnered with Wales in North America 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 to share the culture and history of our countries with our class.

Today, Mayor Muriel Bowser gathered school and city leaders to respond to the urgency of gun violence and its impact on our young people. I'm thankful to our principals for elevating the needs of our students and their school communities, and I'm encouraged by the next steps identified.

Today, I introduced the E-BIKE Act to reduce cost-barriers that prevent residents from purchasing an electric bike. This is an idea I heard from residents on our Ward 2 bike ride. Reductions in traffic congestion & pollution mean we all benefit from getting residents onto bikes.
