125 years ago, the 1000 Mile Trial concluded in London after nearly 3 weeks on the road. Organised by the Club to promote motoring to the British public, the event included 83 entries, with 35 completing the journey – an impressive feat at a time when driving was in its infancy.

The Club welcomed titan of motorsport Sir Jackie Stewart OBE to open the Stewart Room, named in his honour. Located in the Pall Mall clubhouse, the room features memorabilia from Sir Jackie’s personal collection and a specially commissioned painting by Louise Pragnell.

Sir Jackie Stewart OBE’s 1973 title-winning Formula 1 car is being proudly displayed in the rotunda. Sir Jackie claimed four Grand Prix wins in the Tyrrell 006/2, taking his total to 27 – a record that remained unbeaten for 14 years.

Ladies’ Day and Derby Day mark the social highlight of the year at our Woodcote Park clubhouse. With less than a month to go until the world-renowned Derby, members and guests can look forward to Champagne on the Cedar Lawn followed by a lavish, full-buffet lunch.

Members and guests recently enjoyed an evening celebrating the rich heritage of Pol Roger Champagne and its signature styles. Representatives from the house shared insights into the unique craftsmanship behind each bottle.

There's nothing like a bit of friendly competition and great company. Members and their guests enjoyed a fantastic evening at our recent Quiz Night in the 19th Hole at Woodcote Park.

Over a century ago, what is now the Mall Room served as the original Library at the Pall Mall clubhouse. It was a quiet retreat for members seeking time for reading and several of the room's original features remain today.

This Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost is celebrating its 100th birthday. Believed to be the last one produced at Derby and supplied to the home market - and with a continuous chain of four devoted owners - the car stands as a rare and elegant example of the Rolls-Royce legacy.

The exquisite ambience in the Great Gallery is, quite simply, unsurpassed.

The rain held off last week, setting the scene for a spectacular Ladies' Day at the Club. Members and guests enjoyed a wonderful day of celebration.

Day two of the Epsom Derby Festival - Derby Day - is marked by a more formal dress code. Many choose to embrace this custom by wearing a tailcoat and top hat, a practice that dates back to the 19th century when horse racing was a favourite pastime of the British aristocracy.

A collective effort is the key to success and we are proud of the entire Royal Automobile Club team who pulled together to create another memorable Ladies’ Day and Derby Day for our members and their guests.

It is always a delight to see members' and guest's reactions to the fresh floral displays around the Pall Mall clubhouse each week. This week's highlights include white alliums, green hydrangeas and wild dill -  a beautiful nod to summer.

Step behind the scenes with the Royal Automobile Club Greenkeeping Team as they prepare both courses for the Club Championships this weekend. This is where precision meets pride. This is what it takes to deliver a course worthy of the Club’s biggest stage.

This year's theme for the Young Members' Inter-Club Ball was 'A Midsummers Night's Dream', featuring an enchanted woodland setting.   The Inter-Club Group is run and coordinated by younger members from 14 participating clubs across London.

The Pall Mall clubhouse has recently undergone a stunning renovation. At its centre is a striking triangular French Renaissance pediment with carvings created by Ferdinand Faivre. His discreetly hidden signature was rediscovered during the restoration and is now gleaming in gold.

Earlier this month, Woodcote Park hosted the Club’s annual Midsummer Drive-In. The event was the perfect warm-up for our Club Concours next week, on Wednesday 9 July, when the clubhouse will celebrate automotive excellence with a collection of over 200 remarkable machines.

Alain Prost dominated the 1993 Formula One season behind the wheel of this Williams FW15C. It featured soon-to-be-outlawed technologies including traction control and active suspension, helping ‘The Professor’ claim his fourth World Championship.

It has been a fabulous day at the Club’s inaugural Concours – our biggest ever motoring event at Woodcote Park with more than 2000 Club members and invited guests revelling in an unforgettable celebration of motoring heritage.
