Our CFAV’s hold many roles within Army Cadets UK. From contingent responsibilities to ADS CTC Frimley Park and DS Army Cadet Commissions Board (ACCB). All this volunteering helps to develop the cadet experience, inspire and lead the next generation whilst keeping the flame alive!

We loved taking part in London Poppy Day 2024! Around 20 Cadets and CFAV’s spent 13hrs straight fundraising for Royal British Legion. Last night, Royal Russell School CCF CFAV's were awarded with the Kings Coronation Medal 🥇 The medal is issued to individuals with 5 years active public service, as of 06/05/23, thanking the work of the Armed forces (inc. CFAVs) and frontline emergency services. Well done to all!

We had a fantastic weekend with our 65 cadets on Winter Camp 25! Live firing, obstacle course and First Aid for our Army Section to drill competitions and signal training for our RAF Section everyone had a great weekend! We also ran a Leadership Cadre. Roll on Easter Camp!

Both Army Cadets UK & RAF Air Cadets attended BBC & Department for Culture, Media and Sport VE80 Concert at Horseguards Parade, London on 08/05/2025. The concert was a poignant reminder and celebration of when peace broke out 80 years ago! Combined Cadet Force Association Royal Russell School

The Army Cadets UK section had a great day visiting Horseguards Parade to watch the Brigade Majors review of Trooping the Colour ahead of the King’s Birthday Parade with over 1000 soldiers and 200 horses on parade. We even popped into Downing Street for a photo outside No. 10!

RRS CCF Army Summer Camp 2025 saw cadets develop marksmanship, tackle obstacle courses, visit Sandhurst & Thorney Island, complete a field exercise in Aldershot, and enjoy adventure training at Horseshoe Lake – a week of challenge, teamwork & achievement. We look forward to 2026
